• ABOUT MY PRACTICE •
I have office hours Monday – Friday. I do offer evening appointments as late as 7:30 pm. At this time I do not have weekend hours.
My fee is $250 for a 50-minute session.
I do offer a sliding scale. This means that if my full fee is prohibitive, call me anyway; we can review your situation together and discuss options for a reduced fee. If I am not able to accommodate your needs, I will help you find a therapist who can.
I do not accept any insurance. If your policy covers out-of-network care, I am happy to provide the documentation necessary for reimbursement. I recommend checking with your health insurance provider to verify your coverage. I suggest asking the following questions regarding your coverage for mental health:
- What is my deductible and has it been met?
- What percentage of the fee is reimbursed for out-of-network providers?
- Is there a limit to how many sessions my policy covers?
- Is approval required from my primary care physician?
I do have a 24-hour cancellation policy. I reserve your appointment time for you alone. If you are unable to keep your appointment for any reason, I require at least 24-hour advance notice or you will be charged for the full session.
Unlike traditional psychotherapy where the therapist acts like "a blank slate," I tend to be transparent and open about what I am thinking and feeling during the session. If you have been to a therapist in the past who was mostly silent and would not answer any questions about themselves and you always wondered what they were thinking, this will be a different experience. All you have to do is ask me and I will tell you what I am thinking.
I have had training in various different modalities and I rely on input from you about what is helpful and what does not work for you. This helps me tailor sessions to your individual needs. I try to check in regularly and create space for this feedback so that you get what you are looking for out of the session. Always feel free to let me know how you are feeling about our work together; I welcome the feedback.
